Rye is the home of Sand Sculpting in Australia and, since 2000,
has hosted the largest single sand sculpting display of its kind in
the country. This runs from 25th feb to 24th april every year
The event brings together the best of Australian and international
master sand sculptors who carve their magic in thousands of tonnes
of sand.

Swim
Rye Beach like Rosebud is one of the shallowest beaches on the
Mornington Peninsula, hence it is a great reasonably safe beach for
young children. Don't stress if you get hungry or thirsty because
the shopping centre is right across the road.
